"I'm as passionate about walking as I am about counselling often spending my spare time exploring the Brecon Beacons and its surrounding areas. With both holding clear benefits mentally and physically placing the two together was the perfect choice for me"

Outdoor Counselling and Supervision is a counselling service offering 1-1 support to those seeking help with mental health or well-being concerns and to professionals looking for support through clinical or managerial supervision.

I'm an accredited counsellor with the National Counselling Service (NCS) Since qualifying at Post Graduate in 2012 I've accrued over 5000 face to face counselling hours,  working with a variety of sectors. During these last 9 years, I've coupled my main role as a school based counsellor alongside my private practice allowing me to gain an abundance of knowledge and experience working with children, young people and adults.

Although initially CBT was my chosen model I found working as an integrative counsellor presented the most effective means for change. Offering the traits of Person Centred Therapy alongside the skills and techniques of CBT have been powerful in helping clients, particularly those suffering emotional issues such as anxiety, low self esteem or depression. I find CBT, not only offers us the opportunity of a better interaction but also feel the teaching aspect,  which enables clients the opportunity to build their own coping mechanisms that they may take away with them, is particularly useful, especially when working with clients on a short-term basis.

Supervision seemed a natural progression and since qualifying in 2019 I have gained experience of working both one to one and group therapy, offered to a variety of professions.

I adhere to the ethics and guidelines stated by the NCS, and have up to date insurance.
